Urbanisation Hoya de La Mora is set in 98.000 m2 of land overlooking the small inland village of Velez de Benaudalla in the province of Granada. The location offers panoramic views to the surrounding counytryside with the snowcapped Sierra Nevada mountain range as a spectacular backdrop. The village is situated just 12 kilometres from the coastal resort of Salobreña with its beaches and Golf Course whilst the main town of Motril is nearby. Granada with its world famous Alhambra Palace, international ski resort and airport, is just 30 minutes drive. It is also well placed for both Malaga and Almeria airports. In the next two years the remaining motorway links will be completed allowing quick and easy access to the Costa del Sol, Andalucia and the rest of Spain.

How to get to the development

See the maps below for a general guide. There are two entrances into the village, one from the north and another from the south. If coming from the south (Motril or Salobreña) follow the signs from the main road into the village of Velez de Benaudalla. At the first junction in the village, go straight on, go over the small roundabout by the church and proceed to the first turning on your right. Go up the hill, follow the sharp hair-pin bend, on passing some new terraced houses under construction on your left you will see an unmade road to your left. This is the entrance to Hoya de La Mora.

If coming from the north (Granada), follow the signs from the main road for Velez de Benaudalla. After crossing the bridge turn right at the restaurant and follow the road to the village. Upon entering the village take the first turning on your left and go up the hill, follow the sharp hair-pin bend, on passing some new terraced houses under construction on your left you will see an unmade road to your left. This is the entrance to Hoya de La Mora.

The coastal motorway currently runs from Málaga east to La Herradura, the most recent section from La Herradura to Nerja having opened in April of 2007. The last section of 9 kms. of motorway running south from Granada linking Motril is under construction and scheduled for late 2007 or early 2008 and by-passes Velez de Benaudalla with two entry and exit roads, one from the north and another from the south.
